Despite Canada legalizing gay marriage nearly 15 years ago, many people still have not accepted these changes. According to many recent studies, it has been found that most lgbtq+ people feel as there is still prominent discrimination through out Canada, including in the workplace, education system, and within families. Canada does have laws in place to place to try to prevent discrimination, however these are not always effective. Hopefully in the future there will be acceptance for every resident of Canada, and better laws will be in place to insure this.
